The Edea Overture is one of the most popular junior figure skates in the UK - and for good reason. It's the boot we recommend most often to skaters moving beyond their first pair, when they've outgrown a recreational boot and need something with the support to start landing single jumps. Lightweight, well-made, and built using the same construction principles as Edea's top-of-the-range boots, the Overture punches well above its price point.

Boot and Rotation blade are included as standard.

Who are the Edea Overture junior figure skates for?

The Overture suits skaters working through Learn to Skate Level 6 and into the early jump elements - single jumps and the axel. It's the right boot for a young skater who's progressing through their lessons, joining a club, or taking part in basic skills competitions.

Sizing

Edea boots are sized in millimetres, not UK shoe sizes - so a UK shoe size won't translate directly. Most skaters will need to measure their feet using Edea's official guide, or come in-store for a proper fitting. See the size guide below, and contact us if you're not sure.

Stock boots come in a regular C width fitting. D and E width fittings are available to special order direct from Edea - get in touch and we'll arrange it.

Heat moulding and fitting

The Overture is a thermoformable boot, which means it can be heat moulded to the shape of your skater's foot. This makes a real difference to comfort and break-in time, especially for skaters with narrower or wider feet. Bring the boots into our Bristol or Swindon store and we'll do this for you - see our boot heat moulding service.

Why Proper Skate Sizing Matters

Selecting the right size for your Edea Figure skates is crucial for performance, comfort, and safety on the ice. This is a guideline only and we would recommend coming into a store (Planet Ice Bristol, Swindon) or contacting us.

Understanding Edea Figure Skate Sizing

Edea Figure skates are measured in mm. You can measure your feet at home following the guide in Edea site linked here: What’s my size?

A general guide is shown below but using the above guidance or coming into store to be measured is crucial to getting the right size as shoe size and skate size can vary and width should also be considered.

Please note: This chart is a general guide. Individual fit may vary based on foot shape and personal preference.
